In 1727 Tanjirō authored a woodblock-printed picture book entitled Ehon Kokoro no Tane (i.e., Seeds of the Heart Picture Book). Most of the pictures featured flowers and (or) birds and twenty-four are shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it. Tanjirō drew the shapes of flowers more accurately than birds but all were colored only with shades of gray because full-color printing was not possible in the early 1700s.
